Webshop

In DS' webshop you can search for, and purchase standards, handbooks and current draft standards. Furthermore, you can get an overview of your subscriptions and add new ones.

Purchase of standards

Register as a user

It is not necessary to register as a web user to purchase standards. However, if you prefer to pay by invoice or wish to be able to watch and subscribe to standards, you will need to register.

You register as a web user by clicking 'Register as a user' on the menu.

Search

You can search DS' collection of standards by making a simple search from the front page of the webshop or by an advanced search. This is available via the menu point 'Advanced search'.

The simple search can be limited to 'number' or 'subject'. Here you can search on a known description, a title or a subject heading.

Moreover, the advanced search facility enables you to make combined searches featuring a number of optional limitations.

Shopping cart

In order to buy one or more standards, you need to add them to your shopping cart.

When you are ready to complete your purchase, you open the shopping cart and review your order. Here you may also enter an internal reference number and comments on your order.

If you add standards or subject groups to your subscription, these will also be placed in the shopping cart. Subscribing to standards watch and subject groups is free of charge, but the addition takes place via the shopping cart (read more about watch and subscription here).

Address

As a default the delivery address will be the same as the invoicing address.

In case you prefer to have your goods shipped to a different address, you may add a new delivery address by choosing 'new address' and then enter the new address.

Payment

The following payment cards are accepted in DS' webshop:

  • Dankort
  • VISA
  • Eurocard
  • MasterCard
  • VISA Electron
  • JCB

If you are registered as a customer at Danish Standards, you also have the option of paying by invoice. This will be sent to your invoicing address by email or mail following delivery.

Delivery

For most document types you can choose whether to receive the standard in electronic form as a download or by email. You can also buy standards as hardcopies.

If you choose to download a purchased standard, it will be accessible in the download area not later than 15 minutes after your purchase has been completed.

Likewise, standards to be delivered by email will be sent off within 15 minutes of completion of your purchase.

Watch, RSS and subscription

RSS

RSS is a tool enabling you to keep up to date when new contents are added to a webpage.

From DS' webshop you can keep yourself posted, without visiting the website, of which new standards will be published and which are the most popular. In addition, you can get information of standards in specific ICS subject groups.

To use this option you will need an RSS reader. Most browsers of a more recent date have a facility enabling RSS handling, and the internet also offers a range of available RSS readers free of charge.

Watch and subscription

In DS' webshop you can choose to watch or subscribe to standards and subject groups.

If you choose to watch a standard or a subject group, you will receive an email when:

- a new standard is published
- a standard has been withdrawn
- addenda or amendments are published.

If you choose to subscribe to a standard or subject group, you will automatically receive these new standards with subsequent invoicing.

In the right-hand menu you can always select the watch or subscription options.

Please note that if you choose to subscribe for a current standard, you will only receive subsequent standards and will have to buy the current standard separately.

Read more about watch and subscription here.

Terms and conditions

Product

All standards and publications that can be ordered and purchased from the webshop have been approved and published by Danish Standards.

The webshop contains information about all published Danish standards and published Danish draft standards. Moreover, it contains information about withdrawn DS publications or standards as well as any replacements.

Copyright

Danish Standards owns the copyright of all standards and publications that can be ordered from the webshop. The purchase of a standard merely entitles the purchaser to that single copy. If a business needs several copies for several employees, it shall seek permission from Danish Standards before reproducing material in full or in part. Similarly, permission will have to be applied for if the standard is to be made accessible in electronic form to more than one user.

If reproduction of a standard violates the copyright of Danish Standards, a fee as well as compensation will be payable to Danish Standards. Permission to reproduce standards can be obtained from Publishing and Customer Services at Danish Standards.

Delivery

It is possible to purchase most document types electronically as download or by email. Additionally it is possible to purchase standards in hardcopy

Hardcopy

Standards in hardcopy will be delivered the following business day after the order has been received. However, this requires that the receiver is in Denmark and that the order is received before noon 12.00 the same day. Larger orders in hardcopy, e.g. multiple copies of the same standard or handbook will be delivered within 5 working days unless otherwise agreed. DS uses Post Danmark and courier when sending in hardcopy.

Electronic

Delivery of standards as download will be available in the download area within 15 minutes after purchase is completed.
Delivery of standards by email will be sent within 15 minutes after your purchase is completed.

Prices

All prices stated in the webshop are exclusive of VAT. All orders are subject to a handling charge of DKK 30 irrespective of their form of delivery (whether in electronic or physical form). In addition, postage will be added in the case of certain publications.

Danish Standards Foundation accepts no liability for any errors, omissions and changes in the information provided.

Returns and cancellation

The publications of Danish Standards, whether purchased in physical or electronic form, may be returned in accordance with Danish law. The publications of Danish Standards may be returned within 14 days of receipt provided the order was placed via our webshop.

If goods were damaged in transit, or the customer has received the wrong standard or publication, the publication can be returned and a replacement will be sent. In case of errors in ordering, you are welcome to contact Publishing and Customer Services at Danish Standards for assistance and guidance in verifying the relevant standard or publication. In general, erroneously ordered standards will not be accepted for return.

Complaints

All complaints received in writing will be answered within ten working days. Oral complaints will be resolved as far as possible by the employee who receives the complaint, or by his or her superior.

Anonymous complaints will not be considered.

Digital rights and FileOpen

Danish Standards uses a DRM system, Digital Rights Management, to protect our copyright when selling standards in electronic form.

When you purchase an electronic document from Danish Standards, you buy a licence to use the document with the following rights:

  • The document will be watermarked with company name and address
  • The document is locked for text copying
  • The document can be printed in not more than five copies
  • The document can be installed on one PC. However, it is possible to remove the licence in the case of a change of PC, for instance.

Read more about digital rights and FileOpen
here.

Printing

When printing a standard the FileOpen plugin will always use the default printer settings to define how the output will be. The user cannot locally adjust the settings and ie. choose to print duplex or in color if the default settings does not specify it.

There may be problems when printing standards via Adobe Reader 10 in Windows 7. We recommend using Adobe Reader 9.4 instead.
