This European Standard specifies the characteristics of axles for use on European networks. It defines characteristics of forged or rolled solid and hollow axles, made from vacuum-degassed steel grade EA1N1 that is the most commonly used grade on European networks. For hollow axles, this standard applies only to those that are manufactured by machining of a hole in a forged or rolled solid axle In addition, the particular characteristics for axles in grade EA1T1 and EA4T1 are given in Annex A. Two categories of axle are defined, category 1 and category 2. Generally, category 1 is chosen when the operational speed is higher than 200 km/h. This standard is applicable to axles that are designed in accordance with the requirements of EN 13103 and EN 13104. NOTE – Different values for some characteristics may be agreed if a particular process of fabrication (e.g. cold rolling, shot peening, shot peening, steel cleanliness, reduction ratio, improved material properties from melting and heat treatment processes, etc.) has an influence on them.

    Beskrivelse
This European Standard specifies the characteristics of railway wheels for use on European networks. !Four steel grades, ER6, ER7, ER8 and ER9 are defined in this standard; for European freight wagon interoperability purposes only grades ER6, ER7 and ER8 are applicable. NOTE 1 Grade ER6 is not normally fit for the duty of application to freight wagons; it is normally applied in low axleload situations." !Certain characteristics are defined according to a category 1 or a category 2. Category 1 is generally chosen when the train speed is higher than 200 km/h. Freight vehicles running at speeds lower than 200 km/h generally use wheels of Category 2." These categories can sometimes be subdivided, depending upon the characteristics. This standard is applicable to solid forged and rolled wheels which are made from vacuum degassed steel and have a chilled rim. They are to have already been used in commercial conditions on a European network in a significant quantity, or to have satisfied a technical approval procedure according to EN 13979-1 for their design. !NOTE 2" The definition of other wheels may be found in other documents, such as UIC leaflets or ISO standards. !NOTE 3" The technical approval procedure is not within the scope of this standard. !NOTE 4" Rim-chilled" describes heat treatment of the rim, the aim of which is to harden the rim and to create compressive residual stresses in the rim.

This European Standard specifies requirements for unbound mixtures used for construction and maintenance of roads, airfields and other trafficked areas. The requirements are defined with appropriate cross-reference to EN 13242. This European Standard applies to unbound mixtures of natural, artificial and recycled aggregates with a upper sieve size (D) from 8 mm to 90 mm and lower sieve size (d) = 0 at the point of delivery. NOTE 1 Mixtures with an upper sieve size (D) greater than 90 mm are not covered by this European Standard but may be specified in the place of use. NOTE 2 Water content of the mixture and the density of the installed layer are not specified mixture requirements. Both parameters are related to the control of the construction of the layer and are outside the scope of this European Standard.

    Forslag om nyt arbejdsemne vedtaget
    Beskrivelse
This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of the dynamic viscosity of a variety of bituminous binders: modified and unmodified bituminous binders, bituminous emulsions, cut-back and fluxed bituminous binders, by means of a coaxial viscometer. Standard application temperatures are quoted, although the dynamic viscosity can be measured at other temperatures if required. Similarly, viscosity is quoted at standard rates of shear, although additional measures can be taken at varying shear rates if required. WARNING The use of this standard may involve hazardous materials, operations and equipment. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and to determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

    Beskrivelse
This European Standard defines the activities related to refrigerating circuits and the associated competence profiles and establishes procedures for assessing the competence of persons who carry out these activities. NOTE – As a refrigerating circuit is considered not to incorporate electrical and electronic systems, activities in this area are not part of this standard. For competences on electrical and electronic systems, it is recommended to refer to national regulations or appropriate European or national standards. This European Standard does not apply to persons carrying out work on self contained refrigerating systems as defined in EN 378-1 from the initial design of the product to the complete manufacture of the product, provided the process is controlled and the methods used are checked by an organisation or individual, responsible for the compliance with statutory requirements on health, safety and environment.

This document specifies a method for the chromatographic determination of the iron chelated by each individual ortho(hydroxy)-ortho(hydroxy) isomer of the chelating agents [o,o] EDDHA, [o,o] EDDHMA and by HBED in fertilizers containing one or more of these substances, except for [o,o] EDDHMA and HBED mixes. The method allows the identification and the determination of the total concentration of water soluble iron chelates of these chelating agents. Also, after derivatization with Fe, the soluble amount of the chelating agents may be determined when other micro-nutrients, beside Fe are present in fertilizers containing [o,o] EDDHA, [o,o] EDDHMA or HBED. This method is applicable to EC fertilizers covered by Regulation (EC) No 2003/2003. It is applicable to a mass fraction of the metal chelated of at least 0,625 %.

    Beskrivelse
This standard specifies safety and hygienic design requirements for the manufacture of machines used for the production of pies, tarts, pasties, en croute products and other similar items where the pastry cases are formed by the closing under pressure of one or more forming heads. The standard applies to the following three basic types of machine : ⎯ machines where operators hands enter hazard zone 1 (see 4.1) at each cycle ; ⎯ machines which are loaded outside hazard zone 1 ; ⎯ automatic machines. Figure 1, 2 and 3 illustrate examples of these. Automatic loading devices are not covered by this standard. This standard applies to electrically, pneumatically and hydraulically powered machines. Manually operated machines are excluded from the scope of this standard. Clause 4 lists the significant hazards identified on these machines on the basis of a risk assessment carried out following the principles in EN 1050:1996. The safety and hygiene requirements take into account the hazards arising from use (including setting, process changeover, operation), cleaning and maintenance. Hazards arising from foreseeable misuse (3.12, EN 292-1:1991) are also included. Flour dust is not a significant hazard at pie and tart machines. A noise test code is included in Annex B to assist manufacturers to measure noise level for the purpose of the noise emission declaration. This document in not applicable to pie and tart machines which are manufactured before the date of publication of this document by CEN.
